Founded: Grandview was founded in 1997 by Gene M. and Carolyn L. Ehlers to provide an engaging educational environment for students emphasizing strong values using real world technologies.
Grade Levels: Grandview is an independent, non-sectarian, co-educational, college preparatory day school for grades PK3 -12.
Enrollment: Approximately 250 students are currently enrolled at Grandview.
Campus location: The school sits on 9 acres, in a residential neighborhood, less than a mile from the ocean and two miles from down town Boca Raton, FL.
Admission: Students applying to Grandview are required to fill out an application, interview and complete an academic assessment.
Faculty: More than 50% of the 34 faculty members hold advanced degrees.
Classroom Environment: The average class size is 12 students. The student teacher ratio is approximately 8:1.
Curriculum: Grandview’s college preparatory program offers Honors courses, Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and dual enrollment opportunities with Florida Atlantic University and Palm Beach Community College.
Activities: A multitude of exciting activities for all grade levels are available including clubs, honor societies, student government and interscholastic athletics.
International Program: Fifteen percent of the Upper School students come from abroad. These international students live with faculty families in school owned town houses and with host families.
Community Service: Grandview students are encouraged and required to participate in community service activities. Volunteer efforts include fundraisers, food drives, and community service projects.
Tuition Range: Tuition rates at Grandview range form $10,350 - $14,015 per year. Merit Scholarships and financial aid are available.
College Admission: A sample of the universities to which Grandview graduates have attended from 2000-2009 includes Cornell University, Smith College, Georgetown University, New York University, University of Florida, University of New Hampshire, Florida State University, University of Central Florida, University of Colorado, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Miami, School of Visual Arts, Florida Atlantic Honors College, and Boston University.
GPS is an independent, non-sectarian, college preparatory, co-educational day school enrolling students from pre-kindergarten through grade twelve.
